- We discuss your goals and give you an overview of the programme.
- Right afterwards, we schedule your doctor’s appointment.
Week 1
Doctor Consultation & Start
- You’ll have a thorough medical intake consultation — in person or online.
- Together with your doctor, you’ll set your personalised treatment plan and its duration.
- You’ll receive your prescribed medication¹ discreetly delivered to your home within 2–3 days.
Woche 2
Support & Progress
- You take your medication regularly and start your accompanying online fitness programme.
- Your nutrition coach works with you to create a personalised meal plan that actually sticks.
- Throughout the entire programme, we support you with an interdisciplinary team — medically, in a structured way, and personally — to help ensure your long-term success.

Indication for the Use of Tablets for Weight Loss
To be eligible for medical weight loss with tablets, you must fulfill one of the following indications:
| BMI ≥ 27 with at least one weight-related comorbidity, such as: Dysglycemia (prediabetes or type 2 diabetes), hypertension (high blood pressure), dyslipidemia (a disorder of fat metabolism) or obstructive sleep apnea |
| BMI ≥ 30 |
Effect of Weight Loss Tablets
The effect of the medication is similar to the natural GLP-1 hormone. It has an appetite-suppressing effect by reducing the feeling of hunger and increasing the feeling of satiety.
The tablets are only available on prescription. They are not suitable for everyone and can sometimes cause severe side effects. It is important to consult a doctor and read the package leaflet.
Safety of Weight Loss Tablets
Medications that may be considered for your treatment — if medically indicated— are approved by the European Commission and other health authorities. This means they have been rigorously tested and proven to be safe and effective.
Tablets for weight loss can cause (sometimes severe) side effects such as nausea and diarrhea. You can read about the most common side effects under the menu item Medication. In Germany, weight loss tablets are available by prescription only.

Which weight loss tablets are suitable for my treatment?

What result can I expect?
It is difficult to give an exact figure in advance, as weight loss depends on individual factors such as starting weight. Most people experience weight loss in the first week. The lower limit after 12 weeks is a weight loss of 5% of the starting weight. Otherwise, the treatment can be terminated in consultation with your doctor.
What are the side effects?
Tablets for weight loss can cause (sometimes severe) side effects. Take a look at the overview of medications with the corresponding side effects and Patient information leaflet here.

Can I receive the medication without being accompanied by a doctor or dietician?
No. Weight loss tablets cannot be ordered without a doctor's prescription.

Can I also obtain the medication from my GP?
GPs can also prescribe weight loss medication. However, some GPs do not feel sufficiently experienced in the use of GLP-1 medication and/or to carry out an accompanying program – which is important as according to clinical studies, patients lose more weight through a holistic approach, including nutritional counseling, than through medication alone.
The Body Clinic collaborates closely with GPs and frequently receives referrals from patients seeking sustainable weight loss solutions. Our nutrition coaches provide expert lifestyle guidance to support lasting results.

The drugs are currently subject to restrictions with regard to approval, use and/or availability.
